 CRONO Timekeeping System Features
The Technical Features of the Chrono Timekeeping System are as follows
 
    •  AC Log
      This shows all the attendance logs per employee or department. Check in and check out information is displayed.
    •  Employee Leaving for Business/Applying for leave
      Employees who apply for business leave; sick leave or vacation leave is noted on the system. The employee has to inform the HR about it, usually by using a leave application form.
    •  Forgetting to Clock In/Clock Out
      In case an employee forgets to log in or log out, the HR can still update the attendance of that employee.
    •  Coming Late/Leaving Early Collectively
      A report can be generated for employees (all employees or by department) who are coming late or leaving early on a specified date. User has an option to select a date range for the data that user wants to view or print.
    •  Attendance Record
      Simply displays the attendance list of each employee in a specified date. The list can also be printed and serve as a report.
    •  Current Employee's on Duty Status
      This displays the list of employees who are on duty or off duty on a specified date and time. A time range can be set for user preference.
    •  Attendance Calculation and Report
      Lists of calculated attendance per employee or the whole department in a specified time range and can be sorted by department, name, username and time. This one even has a report designer. The four types of attendance lists that can be generated are Clock In / Clock Out exception, Shift exception, Misc exception and Calculated items.
    •  Device Maintenance
      This manages the biometric device or devices that are connected to the system. Device/s connected can be modified or deleted from the machine list. You can also find and connect to a new biometric device in the network.
    •  Smart Update
      To keep your software updated, this feature connects to the internet and download software updates for the system.
    •  Download Attendance Logs
      At the end of the pay period, the HR gathers all the attendance information from the device by downloading it. And this info is then used by the accounting team to process payroll.
    •  Upload/Download User Info and Fingerprint
      The HR can place or get user information from the biometric device as needed, especially for the fingerprint in case a new biometric device is going to be used for the system.
    •  Department List
      Department names can be added, edited and deleted and employees can be added or removed from any department.
    •  Administrator
      This feature manages different levels of users like Super Administrator, Department Administrator, Level 1 and Level 2 Department Administrators. Passwords and operations that can be viewed are configured here.
    •  Employee List
      This is where the employees are maintained and where fingerprint enrollment per employee is done. Employee list can be imported to speed up data entry.
    •  Holiday List
      A holiday list for the whole year can be noted or setup in the system. The holiday name, time and length of the holiday are noted.
    •  Attendance Rule
      This formulates attendance checking rules. Time for Login and Log out is set and the system will ask how many minutes will be considered as late and how many minutes before off duty time will be counted as leave early. This would help in the accuracy of the attendance calculation.
    •  Leave Class
      Allowed leaves are specified on this feature. You can add leaves that are recognized in you company like sick leave or birthday leave. You can also set a code for each leave.
    •  Database option
      This is where the database connection is configured. You can set the database provider, browse the database to be used and test connection to the selected database.
    •  Employee Schedule
      This is the maintenance timetable for assigning each employee to the set schedules. Employee schedule can be specified to what type of scheduling is needed in the organization. This allows you to enter any specific time for the start and end time of the shift and for how many days will that shift be used.
    •  Data maintenance
      Import and export attendance checking data is allowed and the storage or database for your system can be backed up using this feature.

 What are the security features integrated in the system?
For attendance authentication, the employees fingerprint is enrolled in the biometric device. The software application can only be used by the HR manager and other users provided that they have system password and they are users created by the manager. Different user roles are implemented and each one has different levels of access.
 Is the biometric device easy to install?
Yes, all you need to do is plug it in an outlet and use a LAN cable to connect it to your computer. You even have an option if you want to mount the device on the wall.
 Can I use a different brand of biometric device on the Crono system?
No. The Crono system is specifically designed for the fingerprint time and attendance device that comes with the system.
 Can I use two biometric devices on different locations and one software application?
Yes. On a local area connection, you can easily access the attendance information from the biometric device by downloading it using the Crono software. If the device is located on a remote location, you can download the information from the device and save it on a flash drive or transfer the data using the internet.
 Can the system be customized for our own company needs?
No, if customizing the system would mean adding new features or functionalities. You will get the Crono system as it is but if ever we will be adding new features to the system, you can get product updates by logging on to www.Blastsuites.com.
 I already have a Payroll system from BlastSuites, can this system be integrated with Time-keeping?
